    "content": "Hi Fran EA1JM and All\n \nMany things can be the cause\n1-Check up your receiving setup ! listen to beacon before you  transmit  .\n2- some time the sat not changed to  FM mode (happened few time ) instead of the schedule stats so.\n3- check the beacon to see which mode is on.\n4-AFC in downlink shift the frequency so fast ,so deactivate it until you hook with \nstrong down link signal.\n5-Never Try to work FM satellite in IC-910 sat-mode .\nIMHO IC-910 sat mode is perfect only for Xponder satellite.\n6- check volume level! and check if the tone on the VHF and not on UHF.(common mistake to mix uplink tone with downlink tone)\n\n7-Check Main and Sub External speaker setting combination\n\nHope this help!\n73 de  Nader\n\n\n      \n",
