"content": "The Frontiers of Flight museum in Dallas, Texas, Love Field, is again this\nJuly 22, having it' annual \"Moon Day\" event on Saturday July 22nd. This is\na large Space theamed STEM event held at the Museum for 15 years now.\nRegularly attracting 1200-1500 people, from young children and families, to\nthe young at heart. Many organizations have tables, displays demos and\npresentations. I have been representing Amateur Radio Satellites, and AMSAT\nfor many years now. We show off the types of satelites that AMSAT has/is\ndeveloping, explain orbits/footprints, show off the cubesat simulator, and\ndo live satellite pass demos. We do present how Amateur Radio makes space\naccessible to the average person. We are located right next to the Dallas\nAmateur Radio Club, who also is a regular participant.\n\n \n\nThere are a couple of other satellite enthusiasts who usually assist in\nmanning the inside display table, but there is always the need for\nadditional folks to work the table, explain concepts, and do satellite\ncommunications demos out on the parking lot.\n\n \n\nIf you live in the DFW area, are planning o be visiting, or just want to\ncome and have a fun time explaining Amateur Radio in Space to a broader\naudience than just licensed hams, (We though routinely bump into lots of\nfolks who have a license, but haven't gotten going with the hobby), please\nget in contact with me off list and I will give more details.\n\n \n\nDate; July 22nd, 2023\n\nTime; 8AM setup. 10A-4P doors open\n\nPlace; Frontiers of Flight Museum, Dallas Love Field,\nDallas, TX\n\nWeb. https://www.flightmuseum.com/ \n\n \n\nP.S. If someone has a general public and space enthusiasts presentation on\nhow satellites get to orbit, and stay there, if you can get with me ASAP, I\nmay be able to get us a presentation slot. Just thought of this idea.\n\n \n\n73, Tom Schuessler, N5HYP\n\[email protected]\n\n \n\n \n\n\n\n",
