You can set up the rotor the same way as the\nold one with north in the middle and use it the same way as the old one. I\nhave done that with many rotors to get the orientation the way \"I\" wanted\nit. Many rotors have the extra 90degrees to cover a pass but it is not\nnecessary. \nGood luck with it..\nDee, NB2F \n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On\nBehalf Of Vincenzo Mone\nSent: Saturday, June 04, 2011 9:03 AM\nTo: Amsat - BBs\nSubject: [amsat-bb] Rotator Yaesu G-5500 and Trakbox\n\nHi folks,\ni owned since 1990 the Rotator G-5400B together with the Trakbox.\nAs I have problem with it and as have renewed my antennas, I decided to\nchange the Also the rotator and have bought the Yaesu G-5500.\nToday I received and set it up to see if it works perfectly before I install\nit On the roof.\nI saw a difference between the old and the new control box, in fact the\nazimuth display of the old one Shows starting from left to right the\nfollowing scale:\n\n180 - 225 - 270 - 315 - 0 - 45 - 90 - 135 - 180\n 360\n S W N E S\n\nWhile the new one shows starting from left to right the following scale:\n\n0 - 90- 180 - 270 - 360 - 90 \nN E S W N E\n\nDo not know why these difference and sounds so strange to me as I have used\nFor a long time the old one.\n\nContinuing with my settings, I have plugged the cable from the new Control\nbox and the Trakbox and as I have as parking 270°, I saw the azimuth needle\ngoing to the left and it stops on About 90° E. The needle seem to be on the\nright position but not on the right side.\nAt this time I'm a bit confused.\nAnybody can help me to get out of this confusion?\nThanks in advance\n\n73 de Enzo IK8OZV\nEasyLog 5 BetaTester\nEasyLog PDA BetaTester\nWinBollet BetaTester\nD.C.I.
