    "content": "Yes, SO-50 requires a 67 Hz PL tone.  Note that the satellite receiver is \nturned on by a 74 Hz PL tone and stays on for 10 minutes.  After turning it \non, if it is not already on, switch back to the 67 Hz tone to talk.  Be \naware that if you are talking through the bird and no longer hear the \ndownlink, the 10 minutes since the last time it was activated may have \nexpired.
