"content": "Hello Larry,\n\nYes you can record AO-51 & GO-32 digital data using your sound card.\n\nDouglas Quagliana has written a program to record and play back 9600 bps \ndata. This is very useful in checking out your ground station and looking \nat the data later. AMSAT offers a Digital Disk with these programs and it \nhas already recorded 9600 bps digital files to check out your demodulating \nand decoding system and software. WiSP and TLMEcho are also on the Digital \nDisk to decode and display the digital data.\n\n>...I receive GO-32 quite well with an S-5 or better on some passes, so \n>receiving the signal is not an issue.\nI have an FT-847 and I can't decode at S 5 (your mileage may vary), the DCD \nLED lights which means that the modem can recover the clock, but I am a long \nway from full decode of the data. You need a very good S/N ratio to reliably \ncopy the TLM.\n\nAO-51 will probably be in TLM mode next week, so you can try, it probably \nwill be running 700-800 mW. I need a pre-amp at the antenna to reliably \ncopy AO-51 and GO-32 digital data.\n\n73,\nGould, WA4SXM\n\n----- Original Message ----- \nFrom: \"N1MIW\" <[email protected]>\nTo: <[email protected]>\nSent: Friday, January 02, 2009 7:26 PM\nSubject: [amsat-bb] Decoding GO-32 data\n\n\n> I was wondering if anyone has tried to record a .WAV file of this bird &\n> decode it later on.
