"content": "The International ARISS (Amateur Radio on the International Space Station)\nTeam is seeking your help:\n \nDo you want to be part of the international network of ground stations that\nhelp support Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS)\noperations? ARISS is looking to add numerous ground stations capable of\nrelaying ISS amateur radio sessions with schools and also serve as back up\ncommunications relays should they be needed. Locations worldwide will be\nconsidered, but of greatest interest is the need for stations in Central\nAmerica, South America, Falkland Islands, Western Australia, Canada, and\nAlaska. \n\nThe following are guidelines for stations wanting to be considered: \n- Third Party agreement with United States or waiver from their telecom\nagency \n- Ability to speak and understand English \n- Minimal horizon obstructions \n- 24/7 access and availability of station \n- operator(s) willing to support scheduled contacts at various times \n- Phone patch \n- AZ/EL tracking satellite system, preferably an auto tracking system with\nthe capability for manual override \n- Multi-element yagis for 2 meters and 70 cm (Circular polarity preferred) \n- Pre-amps \n- Transmit output greater than 70 watts \nNOTE: If you can specify your station's EIRP and receive sensitivity\n(thereby taking into account cable losses, pre-amps and antenna gain), it\nwould be greatly appreciated.\n\nStations that can support the following will be given special consideration,\nbut these items are not required: \n- Auto Doppler adjustment of frequencies \n- Ability to speak and understand languages other than English \n- 1.2 and 2.4 GHz satellite hardware \n- Packet \n- SSTV \n- Digital ATV \n- Redundant power system \n- High-speed internet \nIf you or your club would like to be considered for selection as one of the\nnew ARISS telebridge stations then send an email with details about your\nstation and contact information to:\n\n [email protected].\n\n \n\n73, Stefan VE4NSA\n\n",
