    "content": "It doesn't matter where you are on the planet, casual ham contacts with\nastronauts are exceptionally rare unless there happens to be a crew member\naboard who is particularly interested in getting on the air. Most of the\nastronauts only have the ham license because it's part of their mission\ntraining for use of ARISS for school contacts. Only on the occasions when\nwe have someone such as Kjell Lindgren, KO5MOS, aboard are you likely to\nhear the ISS operating casually.\n--\nMark D.
