    "content": "I just migrated to a new, Windows 8.1 PC. \nJust installed HRD (HamradioDeluxe).\n\nI have a Prolific USB to Serial converter. Worked always fine on Win XP.\nInstalled also fine under 8.1.\n\nWhen I now open HRD, the Connect menu shows indeed the USB serial port as\nCOM3 (next to COM1).\nHowever, in the connect menu I can only select COM1 in the pull down menu\nfor the radio connection (not COM3).\n\nFor sure someone has been here before :-)\nLooking forward!\n\nHenk - PA3GUO\n\n\n\n",
