"content": "GO-32 appears to go down with some regularity, however, I get the impression\nthat once the TechSat team know about it they do the reboot within a few\ndays. GO-32 has been down for about 3 weeks now.\n\nI checked http://www1.findu.com/cgi-bin/pcsat.cgi?absolute=1 and PCSAT and\nAO-51 are the only birds capturing APRS so I assume the 2 APRS channels on\nGO-32 are also down.\n\nSo, a liaison with the TechSat team would be good to have - a SPOC - single\npoint of contact on behalf of the BBS and APRS users. Perhaps Bob \" Mr.\nAPRS \" as his APRS experiment on GO-32 is more relevant than the small\nnumber and occasional BB users such as me who do all those \"Hi\" and \"Test\"\nmessages.\n\nThe downside of the reboot is that it cleans out the directory on the BB.\nAs a result the BB is not used for anything really important like the days\nof KO-25 because you expect it to have a stroke every 2 or 3 months. My\nexperience is that the impending failure flags itself several days in\nadvance with about the same symptoms each time. First a couple of\ndirectory entries are skipped or appear out of numerical sequence. A few\ndays later you can upload a message but not retrieve directory lists. A\nfew days later nothing but the carrier/no data beacon about every 2\nminutes.\n\nThe upside is that when GO-32 goes down it forces me to explore other\ndigital satellites.\n\n73, Alan VE4YZ\nEN19kw\nAMSAT LM 2352\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n> -----Original Message-----\n> From: [email protected] \n> [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Bruce Semple\n> Sent: December 2, 2008 7:51 PM\n> To: Andrew Glasbrenner; [email protected]\n> Subject: [amsat-bb] Re: GO-32 still down\n> \n> Drew --\n> Do we know who are the command stations?\n> A year or so back I was trying to find someone to answer a \n> question I had about the GO-32 bird -- I had hunted down the \n> following -- but I never got any confirmation that they where correct.\n> \n> Wally Carter K4OGT Control Operator KE4ZXW\n> 4X6EM / 4Z7DFC Techsat's Ground Control Station\n> http://www.technion.ac.il/ASRI\n> \n> \n> At 06:55 PM 12/2/2008, Andrew Glasbrenner wrote:\n> >GO-32 is still just transmitting periodic beacons that look \n> like they \n> >might be from the bootloader.
