From what has been posted, it seems that at a pinch, the T90/E90 will suffice with an Arrow antenna for the FM only birds so maybe thats the way to go for the time being!\n \n Thanks again,\n \n David\n KG4ZLB/M0ZLB\n AMSAT UK Member\n \n \nZachary Schrempp <[email protected]> wrote:\n David,\n\nYou can use it, but you will not know if your signal is actually\ngetting through the bird or if you are transmitting over someone else.\nI would say give it a try until you can get a cheap 2nd radio that can\nserve as either the transmitter or the receiver. This way you will\ncreate a full-duplex setup - with 2 radios. Also keep in mind that you\nwill need a diplexer for the Arrow if you are using just one radio.\n\n73,\nZach KM7I\n\nOn Dec 18, 2007 7:01 AM, David Worboys wrote:\n> I would appreciate a bit of advice concerning h/t's?\n>\n> I spoke with Icom US who admitted that despite the current adverts claiming the IC-91A/D is the replacement to the W32A, its not - no full duplex for a start!\n>\n> So, I have the E or T90 which on the back of a bit of research I now find that by selecting \"split\" in the menu options, I can listen on 440 and transmit on 144 - its not full duplex I know, but for the FM birds (and coupled with an arrow type antenna), can I make this radio work on the birds?\n>\n> Thanks in advance\n>\n> David\n> KG4ZLB\n>\n>\n>\n> _______________________________________________\n> Sent via [email protected].
