    "content": "Last I saw, he said \"...we have not made up our minds\" on the HF-to-HF \ntransponder.\n\nA couple of years ago, when we were all talking about \"Toss-Sats\" \n(ready-built satellites that could be flown on a moment's notice and \nhand-launched from the shuttle or ISS, like SuitSat), I was going to \nactually throw a Mode A transponder together from an old Sonar commercial \nVHF rig on 2M, and an old CB (converted to 10M), just to satisfy myself that \nit could be done that cheaply.
