Both are easy to use although ANDE \nrequires care because of its limited and finite \npower budget.\n\nPCsat also operates on 145.825 MHz (up and down) \nand the ISS is on 145.800 MHz down and 145.990 MHz \nUp. PCSAT is waiting for better sunlight and the \nISS is currently off.\n\nThere are a couple of others you may also like to \nlisten for.\n\nUO-11. Transmits ASCII at 1200 b/s. Clive Wallis \nis always keen to receive signal reports for this \nsatellite. The Tx is currently off, but will \nswitch on around 31 March. Clive isn't sure \nexactly when this will happen, so it is fun to \nlisten for it at around that time. You can decode \nUO-11 using MixW, although I use a hardware \ndecoder built mostly from junkbox parts.\n\nYou could also listen for Pehuensat. I heard this \none only once, shortly after it was launched. It \nshould transmit UI packets (1200 b/s AFSK) but I \nonly ever heard a recorded voice message. I'm not \nsure of the current status of this satellite, but \nsince I have gear up and running on 145.825 MHz I \nwatch for this one too.\n\nYou'll need to make an interface to go between \nyour rig and your computer if you want Tx to the \nsatellites. This can be very simple and easily \nbuilt from stuff in your junk box. If you just \nwant to copy the telemetry, you need only couple \nthe audio output of your rig to the line-in jack \non your soundcard.\n\nOn 2 metres, I use a homebuilt 6 element \nhorizontally polarised antenna. It's currently \nhorizontally mounted and is steerable only in \nazimuth. That works okay with LEOs.\n\nYou can also experiment with various software \npackages that can copy the 1200 b/s AFSK signal. \nYou already have AGWPE and UISS is a great program \nto use when working satellites via AGWPE. You \nmight also try UIview which allows you to run an \nSgate (even over a dial up connection) and of \ncourse the powerful MixW.\n\nI generally run both AGWPE and a hardware TNC in \nparallel since I find that one sometimes decodes \npackets that the other misses. You can also run \nUISS and UIview simultaneously with both receiving \ndata from AGWPE.\n\nSil - ZL2CIA\n\nMichael Tondee wrote:\n> Unfortunately because of some financial issues, I'm going to have to \n> sell my TS-2000X.
