    "content": "Most people find that 10 watts to a gain antenna is workable, but get much\nbetter results with a brick amp to bump that up to ~70 watts.  And while\ndoable, working without active Doppler control is equally painful for you\nand the stations you are TRYING to work.\n\nMy recent acquisition, an Alinco DJ-G7, while a pretty nice rig for normal\nterrestrial operations, has been a disappointment for satellite use.\nHowever, it is the only rig I have with which I can monitor my mode-L\nuplink, so it is useful in that respect.  ;)\n\nAlan\nWA4SCA\n\n\n\n",
