"content": "David - thanks for the information.\n\nBullet points :-\n\n- We will lose 2350-2390MHz and 3410-3475MHz\n\n- We will gain 2300-2302MHz\n\n- We will retain 2310-2350MHz, 2390 - 2400MHz and 3400-3410MHz (and \nof course keep 2400-2450 which was not part of this)\n\n- Changes will take effect 1 year from now, so we have 12 months to \nmake any changes\n\nThere is other detail as well, it's worth reading the Ofcom document; \nI just had a quick scan this morning.\n\nThis will have some considerable impact on some users :-\n\nAny ATV operation between 2350 and 2390 MHz will have to move frequency.\n\nALL transmitting activiites above 3410MHz will have to cease. This \nmeans that any ATV repeaters will have to change frequency, and we \nwon't be able to transmit on 3456MHz to the moon. I presume that we \nwill still be able to (unofficially) receive on 3456MHz, and accept \nany interference. Not sure how long it will take before 3456 is used \ncommercially, if it isn't already.\n\nHope that helps.\n\nregards\nGrant G8UBN\n\nQuoting David Barber <[email protected]>:\n\n>\n> OFCOM Update on 2.3GHz & 3.4GHz bands.\n>\n> http://tinyurl.com/ofhvh2z\n>\n>\n> David Barber\n> G8OQW\n> ********\n>\n>\n\n\n",
