This might tell you if you are successful in communicating with the rig.\n \n If I can be any help please email. I'm using an FT-847, but I have a detailed setup procedure around here somewhere.\n \n Please let us know if you are having any success.\n \n Mike\n K9QHO\n AMSAT 33589\n \n \n \n \n ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\n \n Hi Scott,\nI am using the GS-232B/G-5500 with SatPC32 (Yaesu_GS-232 rotor\nselection)\nand a Kenwood TS-2000X and it works very well. I haven't tried it with\nNova.\nSatPC32 does have a radio selection for the 910H so I presume SatPC32\nwould\ncontrol both Doppler and your rotor just fine. You could download the\ntrial\nversion (http://www.dk1tb.de/satpcsetup_a.ZIP) and give it a try. If\nyou are\na member of AMSAT then it would only be $45 to register the\napplication.\nSatPC32 is a little complex at first; however, if you spend some time\nto get\ncomfortable with it, I am sure you will like it.\n\nI hope you get everything working.\n\n73 Jeff - K7WIN\n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On\nBehalf Of Scott Gillis\nSent: Monday, March 17, 2008 1:14 PM\nTo: [email protected]\nSubject: [amsat-bb] Help with rotor control and GS-232B\n\nHope I can get some good feedback on this issue.\n\nI bought a GS-232B and \"assumed\" (sigh) that it would be backwards\ncompatible (meaning anything written for any GS-232 would work)\n\nI don't seem so lucky (or at least it seams that way with NOVA for\nWindows).\n\nI'm looking for suggestions on what software package (or combination) I\nneed to control my ICOM 910H and my GS-232B.\n\nAny and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated\n\n73\nScott Gillis N3UJJ \nMy Current Location <\" target=_blank>http://location.n3ujj.com/> \nMy Amateur Weather Station <\" target=_blank>http://weather.n3ujj.com/> \n\n\n", "attachments": [] }
