"content": "Hi Kevin,\n\nIf you just want to decode 9600 baud you can use a software TNC like the\nHigh Speed Sound Modem by UZ7HO. I have used that to decode Falconsat just\nfine with the UISS software. I think Patrick has an article on that exact\nsetup.\n\nFor FoxTelem data I didn't need any sort of TNC, just the radio's audio\nstream feeding directly into FoxTelem. I have a video with just that. You\ncan use the sound from it to test your own decode. Here's a link to it:\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ob0BkiZQgFw&t=235s\n\nThe TNC Pi9k6 would be useful for transmitting though. It is much cheaper\nthan any other 9600 TNC! I am curious myself if someone has tried to\ntransmit with it using 9600 baud to satellites like Falconsat-3.\n\nOn Wed, Oct 3, 2018 at 10:28 PM, Kevin Zari <[email protected]> wrote:\n\n> I'm interested in connecting a TNC-Pi9k6 https://tnc-x.com/TNCPi9k6.htm\n> up to my IC-910 data port, and seeing if I can decode some FoxTelem data.\n> Has anyone played with this, and if not, what TNCs are you using ?\n> Thanks\n> -Kevin (KK4YEL)\n>\n> -----\n>\n> The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of\n> doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence.\n> _______________________________________________\n> Sent via [email protected].
