My reasons for this are many but briefly:\n\n1.) Can't invest in a full blown satellite transceiver for the mobile \nright now.\n2.) Want to be able to work high elevation passes without the need to \ndrag out anything or even stop.\n3.) Have a work related road trip coming up that will take us from \nAlabama to Washington, DC, then on to Chicago, Phoenix, and finally Salt \nLake City. This should take me through a lot of grids. While I hope to \npack along the Arrow Antenna and a FT-857D/FT-817ND combo, I won't be \nable to stop for the majority of passes.\n\nA good mobile duplex FM rig would insure that I make at least the \nmajority of SO-50 passes during the three week trip.\n\nSuggestions on either rig or antennas?\n\n\n-- \n--\n73,\n\nLes Rayburn, N1LF\n121 Mayfair Park\nMaylene, AL 35114\nEM63nf\n\n6M VUCC #1712\nAMSAT #38965\nGrid Bandits #222\nSoutheastern VHF Society\nCentral States VHF Society Life Member\nSix Club #2484\n\nActive on 6 Meters thru 1296, 10GHz & Light\n\n", "attachments": [] }
