"content": "Hi Mike,\n\nNo problem. I will try the test beacon command on the two good passes\ntomorrow. (14 deg and 58 deg.) I assume you still want me to send the other\nfour commands as well.\nI will be away for the third pass tomorrow but it is only 4 deg anyway. I\nshould be OK for all other passes for the rest of the week.\n\nAlan\nZL2BX\n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: Mike Rupprecht [mailto:[email protected]] \nSent: Monday, 18 August 2008 05:54\nTo: Alan Cresswell\nSubject: Re: [amsat-bb] Re Compass-1 recovery efforts\n\nHi Alan,\n\nI can not say enough thank you so much for your time.\n\nIt is unclear why we get an confirmation but no beacon is sent.\n\nThe confirmation comes from the internal TTC. The beacon is commanded from\nEPS to the TTC.\nSo you could try to request a test beacon. This is the code: ****35##\n\nThe beacon text is: 00 dp0com-compass-1-012345-compass-1 \n\nThis beacon is also controlled by the TTC. It could be that the internal\nsystem bus (I2C) is down and in case we have no internal communcation. Maybe\nthe low voltage is the reason.\n\nSo if you have a good pass (and you have the time) in full sunlight you can\ntry to get an testbeacon.\n\nThanks for your great support on behalf of the entire COMPASS team.\n\n73, Mike\n\n\n\n----- original Nachricht --------\n\nBetreff: [amsat-bb] Re Compass-1 recovery efforts\nGesendet: Mo, 18.
