The hamfest takes place at\nthe Howard County Fairgrounds.  Please also refer to the CARAFest website\nat www.carafest.org.\n\nWe always welcome AMSAT participation at our events since many of our\nmembers and guests, to include myself and of course Dave Taylor, are avid\nsatellite enthusiasts.  Of course, Dave is in a class of his own and we are\nvery proud that he is also a member of CARA.\n\nWe were thinking it would be constructive to set up a table in the indoor\nspaces where AMSAT could layout brochures, information, gadgets, etc.  Of\ncourse, a demo would be awesome(!) if it could be arranged.  Otherwise,\nshow-n-tell works fine, too.  The table would be complimentary.   If AMSAT\ncan attend, then we would promote that fact on both the CARAFest website,\nand on the CARA Club website, and likewise via social media, etc., to get\nthe word out.\n\nWe'd also like to help celebrate the AMSAT's 50th anniversary - in some way.\n\nPlease let us know if you would be interested.  Some information for your\nreference:\n\n- CARAFest POCs are Andy Protigal (CARA Vice President and also AMSAT Life\nMember) and David Parkison (CARA Treasurer and CARAFest Vice Chair).  Our\nemail addresses are [email protected] and [email protected],\nrespectively.\n\n- CARAFest will be held rain or shine at the Howard County Fairgrounds, 2210\nFairgrounds Rd, West Friendship, MD 21794 on Sunday October 6, 2019.
