"content": "Hello Chris,\n\nThank you for your post. \n\nWell, whether such a workshop is too advanced or \nnot, that's your call. But let it be known that the \nPICetSat II module is VERY simple, meant for the \nbeginner and the advanced builder/user alike, and \nthat we have at least one full ground station set \nup at the workshop as part of the whole system, \nto test, experiment with and use. All is part of \na grand learning experience. \n\nThe ground station includes, of course, an antenna \nwith gain. I am hoping to find someone who can \nhelp me and the local AMSAT-DC group by selecting \na 432 MHz antenna design such as the recent one \nfeatured in QST Magazine, and then kit the parts \nand arrange for a building and antenna test session \nfor those who prefer that, over having a model of \na simulated satellite to take home with them. \n\nSince you are living in the Pittsburg area then we \nwould especially welcome you and encourage you \nat our workshop. We recognize, however, that it is \na long 4-hour, 230 mile one-way trip to Greenbelt. \nI'm not sure of the level of AMSAT activity in NE \nOhio or western PA, but we welcome those from \nanywhere and everywhere! \n\nThe guys here are great, very friendly and \nhelpful. You would have a wonderful day here. \n\nSo, if you have any specific questions further then \nplease shoot them to us on this amsat-dc list. Any \nof a number of use would be glad to offer you our \nadvice, stories, experience, recommendations or \nhints. \n\nCheers,\n\nPat Kilroy, N8PK\nAMSAT-DC Area\n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]\nSent: Tuesday, February 23, 2010 03:00 PM\nTo: [email protected]\nSubject: AMSAT-DC Digest, Vol 5, Issue 5\n\nSend AMSAT-DC mailing list submissions to [email protected] To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit http://amsat.org/mailman/listinfo/amsat-dc or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to [email protected] You can reach the person managing the list at [email protected] When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than \"Re: Contents of AMSAT-DC digest...\" Today's Topics: 1. Satellites but, I think this might be a little to advanced for me. I am more interested in equiptment and operation of Easy Sats. Unless you think this would help me out in some way.
