    "content": "[I am requesting all to circulate this notice to a wide variety of\nattendees, students, teachers - 73 de N3RDX/S21X]\n\nAnnouncing AMSAT’s LCROSS “Lunar Bash” Live Special Event *\n2009 AMSAT Space Symposium\nCelebrating 40 Years in Space\n\n*NEW: with an exhibit of NASA educational materials for the LRO/LCROSS\nprogram suitable for K-12 students\n*NEW: live updates of the mission progress from the Flight Directors Blog\n\nDate: Friday October 9, 2009\nLocation/Time: 0600-0900 Crane A/B, Four Points Sheraton Hotel at BWI Airport\nHosted by Samudra Haque, N3RDX, [email protected]\nOpen to All 2009 AMSAT Space Symposium Attendees\n\nLet’s Kick Up Some Moon Dust !\n\nJoin us in the Crane A/B rooms between at 0600 (event starts 0630)\nwith other early bird\nAMSAT attendees for a Presentation and Live Simulcast of NASA’s Return\nto the Moon – and an once-in-a-lifetime event of the Lunar CRater\nObservation and Sensing Satellite (LCROSS) impact into the Cabeus\ncrater on the Lunar Surface estimated at 0730 EDT. The event will\nshowcase NASA documentaries on the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO)\nand LCROSS missions, the Music Video “Water on the Moon” by NASA\nDeputy Project Manager John Marmie and will shift to the live video\nstream with commentary from NASA TV shortly before the actual impact\nevent.\n\nAs the best viewing of the impact site from Earth will be available to\nground based telescope located in the Mid-West and points towards the\nWest Coast we hope to see pre-recorded images/video clips well after\nthe impact event as it is relayed from observing communities.
