Just monitored the\n02:00-ish UTC pass; I was surprised to hear the transponder active and\nheard a number of QSOs and well- disciplined ops.  Mostly solid copy from\nshortly after AOS until at about 10 deg above LOS.  Not sure if its a null\nin the satellite antenna pattern or ground clutter (which in my\nneighborhood is about equally bad in all directions).  Arrow antenna on\ntripod (and you want to be able to rotate it for polarity changes) and\nYaesu VX5.
