I use them frequently at work where I don't have\naccess to the router configuration. Works good with public WiFi internet at\nhotels, etc... Not quite as good at a direct connection but no one can tell\nthe difference when I'm connected this way.\n\nhttp://echolink.org/proxylist.jsp\n\n73, \nMike - N4HHA\n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: [email protected]\n[mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Lou McFadin\nSent: Wednesday, April 02, 2008 1:01 AM\nTo: Robert Davies\nCc: AMSAT-FLORIDA; Bill Dzurilla\nSubject: [amsat-florida] Re: FW: EchoLink\n\nI have a Mac and use Echo Mac but the problems are the same. The \nproblem I have is that the router in my house assigns local IP numbers \nautomatically on request. Any time you reset it for any reason the \nIP's assigned to a particular computer may change. Then you have to go \nin and revise the IP numbers in the Port range forwarding list to \nmatch the new IP number assigned to that particular computer.\nThe only way to get around that is to set your router and computer to \nconfigure the various computers on your net work to get their IP \nnumbers manually. Then you are in charge and they won't change every \ntime you have to reset your router.\n\nLou McFadin\nW5DID\nARISS US Hardware manager\n\n\nOn Apr 1, 2008, at 7:01 PM, Robert Davies wrote:\n\n> Bill Dzurilla wrote:\n>> Thanks, David.
