The group had launched a BACAR (Balloon Carrying Amateur\nRadio) - a high altitude balloon with various radio equipment on-board\nto explore near-space. While waiting for the data to return from the\nBACAR package, the YOTA group operated from grid KG43 on multiple\nsatellites, ranging from SO-50, AO-91, & AO-92. \"All the YOTA ZS9\nmembers, who made their first satellite contact will receive the AMSAT\nSatellite Communicators Club Award\" said Bruce Paige, KK5DO, AMSAT\nDirector, Contests & Awards.\n\nThirteen-year-old Faith Hannah Lea, AE4FH, of Palm Coast, Florida, is\nthe only representative of International Amateur Radio Union Region 2\n(IARU R-2) at the Youngster On The Air Camp 2018 this week in South\nAfrica.
