This is an annual Symposium, however the\n2005 Symposium was cancelled due to hurricane\ndamage caused by hurricanes Katrina and Rita.\nSpeakers originally scheduled for the 2005\nSymposium are invited to re-submit papers for the 2006 Symposium.\n\nTopics: Recommended topics include but are not\nlimited to the following categories:\n\n· AMSAT P3E\n· AMSAT Eagle\n· Microsatellite Projects\n· Cubesat and Nanosatellite Projects\n· ARISS\n· Attitude Determination and Control\n· Propulsion\n· Communications\n· Mechanical\n· Antennas\n· Groundstations\n· Digital Modes\n· Education and Outreach\n· Launch Opportunities\n· Status Reports\n\nOther Activities:\n· The AMSAT Board of Directors will meet on 5-6 October.\n· The AMSAT Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on 6 October.\n· AMSAT International will meet 8 October\n· The IARU Satellite Committee will meet during\nthe Symposium and will hold a public round table\ndiscussion on frequency coordination on 8 October\n· The ARISS International Delegates Meeting will be held on 9-10 October\n· \"Birds of a Feather\" sessions (BOFS) will be available on request\n\nDeadline: Applications for papers must be received ASAP. Papers must be\nsubmitted no later than 12 September 2006.\n\nProcedure: The planning committee has created an\nonline registration system where you can submit\nyour abstract and track it.
