    "content": "Larry:\n\nAs I said  on the AMSAT-BB, this was NEVER meant to be public in its \ncurrent form.  We did NOT want to admit publicly in a document that we \nwere ceding the L band.   We are now beginning to really understand the \npolitical realities and this has nothing to do with the whining in the \nAMSAT-BB.   We are starting to see what might be widespread loss ALREADY \nin 2400-2540.   We are going to stop here and complete the entire \nanalysis,  technical, political, and regulatory.   We have been lazy and \nfoolish long enough.  Upon request, we have been given help from Paul \nRinaldo and the League.  Paul will attend the AMSAT symposium.  I did \nnot know what his reasons were for coming but I am glad he has chosen to \ndo so.  I now suspect that he is trying to help us understand how bad \nthe situation actually is since he has just returned from several IARU \nmeetings in Bangalore and then went to ITU meetings in Geneva.  The \nLeague commissioned a 802.11 noise temperature study called ARIA.  But \nthe phenomenon of loss of the amateur satellite bands to interference \nmitigation from unlicensed 802.11 is (unfortunately) news to me.
