"content": "Jim,\nI was disappointed to learn of your decision, but I do understand that many\nthings change in this life and that nothing is \"for ever\".\nI thank you for your leadership and participation in the Eagle project and I\nwish you well in your prioritization - keep in contact with us - you are a\nvalued member of AMSAT.\n\nRobin Haighton VE3FRH\nImmediate Past President AMSAT\n\n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of\nJim Sanford\nSent: Wednesday, November 07, 2007 7:07 PM\nTo: AMSAT Eagle\nSubject: [eagle] Eagle Management Change\n\nTeam:\nLast night I transmitted a significant letter to Rick Hambly, Bob \nMcGwier, and the AMSAT Board of Directors.\n\nAs a result of life changing events this year, I have realized that I no \nlonger have time for amateur radio and therefore Eagle. With GREAT \nregret, I tendered my resignation as Project Manager and Assistant VP \n(Director) of Engineering. I simply do not have the time to do this \nright, and would therefore prefer someone else do it.\n\nI deeply regret having to take this decision. I got into this when \nasked because I saw it as a chance for me to give something back to \nAMSAT. It also gave me the wonderful opportunity to work closely with \nthe awesome intellect that you all represent. Working with you people, \nthis team, has been a highlight of my personal and professional life. \nIt is painful to step away, but I must do so -- I'm over extended, and \nmust reprioritize some things in my life. \n\nMany of you have worked very hard and have worked hard at doing things \ndifferently. In the process, you've taught the ENTIRE ORGANIZATION some \nnew things that we must deal with in todays era of electronics -- both \nprocess and technical details. I beg you all to not give up and please \ncontinue.\n\nI will support and encourage from the side lines, as I can.\n\nThank you all for all that you've done. I wish you, and Eagle, only \ngood things.\n\nVery 73,\nJim\[email protected]\n\n\n_______________________________________________\nVia the Eagle mailing list courtesy of AMSAT-NA\[email protected]\nhttp://amsat.org/mailman/listinfo/eagle\n\n",
