In a few weeks we'll gather up our equipment and head for\nthe top of a local mountain where we'll have a much better shot at the PAVE\nPAWS site. Right now we're not completely sure we're really looking at PAVE\nPAWS. It may be that our data from old environmental impact statements is\nobsolete. We know something has changed or the Department of Defense\nwouldn't be clearing out all the local ham repeaters.\n\nJuan - WA6HTP\n\n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: Lee McLamb [mailto:[email protected]] \nSent: Monday, September 03, 2007 4:43 PM\nTo: [email protected]; [email protected]\nCc: 'Dave hartzell'; 'Robert McGwier'; 'David Smith'; 'Dave Black (Work)';\n'Dave Black (Home)'; 'Samsonoff@Mac. In it they demonstrated\n\nhow a strong enough RF pulse would actually cause a bias shift on the first \nstage resulting in a 'blanking effect' until the RF induced voltage decayed \noff. Perhaps we're seeing something similar here?\n\n73,\nLee-KU4OS\n\n\nOn Monday 03 September 2007 14:32:05 Juan Rivera wrote:\n> Dave,\n>\n> The noise blanker is off and when you think about it, it doesn't matter\n> anyway since I'm pulling the 10.7 MHz 3rd IF out of the TS-2000.
