"content": "I have at least one preliminary number for power consumption. I have the\nPA, drivers, and DC-DC part of the APT circuit running now. I can get\nabout 2W (with two 1W signals) average power out of it. It draws about 6W\nto do this and does get a bit warm. This is for running at that power\ncontinuously.\n\n73,\nDan W9EQ\n\nOn Tue, Jun 16, 2020 at 1:49 PM Marc Franco via LTM <[email protected]> wrote:\n\n> I couldn’t agree more, John.\n>\n> 73, Marc N2UO\n>\n>\n>\n> On Jun 16, 2020, at 1:21 PM, John Klingelhoeffer via LTM <[email protected]>\n> wrote:\n>\n> \n> Yeah, it really isn't worth the effort for 2 or 3 dB more.\n>\n> If one had the power and heat dissipation capability for +40 dBm (10 dB\n> more) , now you're talking.\n>\n> Yes, it could probably fit on the QSH/QTH stack, though.
