    "content": "It looks like the launchpad uses an XDS100v2 chip for going from USB\nto serial ports and JTAG.  TI's web page on it is\nhttps://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/xdsdebugprobes/emu_xds100.html\n\nThe USB device ID would be provided by the XDS100, so as long as you\nhave that chip, it should just work.\n\nI've used Olimex before for other things, and that adapter is 55 euro.\n\nAnyway, we have options.\n\n-corey\n",
