UHF/70cm preamps

Hello all In the past I have used the ICOM line of pre-amps e.g. AG-25 AG-35. It seems that these are no longer being made, have they been replaced by something new or is there simply not enough being sold for ICOM to make them anymore? I am looking for a mastmount UHF/70cm one, similar to the AG-35 which was a convenient size and could switch itself from RF transmissions. To make things that little bit more interesting I would like to use this at 400MHz as well. RIT for FT-726R?

I realise this radio is getting quite dated, but it's what I have. :) One of the biggest obstacles to me for working the SSB birds is that the FT-726R doesn't have a proper RIT function. Instead the thing has a "Clarifier" which is active during both transmit and receive, and disables the tuning knob. So, I was wondering if anyone has ever modified the Clarifier to function as an RIT? It looks like it wouldn't be too hard; perhaps with an opto-coupler and a dropping resistor. Hello Dave, I was born within spitting distance of the JODRELL BANK ... (University of Manchester) ... Radio telescope, in the county of Cheshire, England 1n 1946. Served in Her Majesty's Service ... (British Army Signals) ... UN service ... (around the world) ... NATO Norway from 1970 until retirement, been here ever since. Now old, bald and senile ... like AO-7, trying to keep my last surviving brain cell "illuminated". I appreciate the feedback Dave. "Observations From Norway" ... (paper format) ... used to be quite popular in Oscar News and The Amsat Journal ... until three heart attacks kinda' knocked the wind out of my sails ... 3 in quick succession tend to give you a message ... crank it down a notch. Of course, the "hard" living around the globe had nowt to do with it. Just came out of hospital again, this time with some plastic tubing in my groin/leg ... I doubt if they did a microwave oven test on it so I expect it's not microwave or space-rated. The clowns refused !!! to allow me to set up the satellite array in the intensive care unit so I did a runner at the first opportunity ... at a rapid rate of knots ... spoilsports !!!. Mechanical diagrams Yaesu g-5500

Hi all I have been searching the net to find mechanical drawings / exploded diagrams of the rotator system for the Yaesu G 5500. They are not easy to find... I am quite surprised at this as the product seems to be in (fairly) common use. Does anyone have these diagrams? We have a (possibly) damaged rotator that we want to strip and fix it but I cannot find any tech diagrams. I would appreciate any help or links. Hi Chad, I've been getting a lot of the same inquiries, so I hope you don't mind if I share this reply with the -bb. We are making good progress in reloading the software necessary to run AO-51, although it was a bit of a rocky start. Gould and I hope to have it reloaded by this weekend, but I can't promise it will happen. Interested stations can use TlmEcho to watch our progress on the 435.150 downlink. Good Afternoon fellow Satellite Jockeys! Just wanted to pass along an observation from this past week. Al N5AFV has been operating from the Canadian Maritimes, handing out RARE grid squares. I worked him today on SO-50 whilst he was in New Brunswick. How very excellent...since I have as of yet to work NB on HF, and I've been a ham for almost 20 years!
