Hi All, We are looking for a practical system to use on a 1U, or perhaps 2U, cubesat to take medium definition images and transmit them to the ground on VHF for educational outreach purposes. All the usual cubesat mass, power, data budgets would apply but and I would especially appreciate advice and guidance about the best type of digital slow scan (or similar) system to adopt. Aloha, For those looking for a contact with Hawaii here is my schedule for this Sunday and Tuesday: Sunday 9/9/12 FO-29 2116-2123Z 11:16-11:23 HAST 14:16-14:23 PDT AO-27 2242-2248Z 12:42-12:48 HAST 15:42-15:48 PDT Tuesday 9/11/12 AO-07 Mode B 0123-0134z (9/12/12) 15:23-15:34 HAST (9/11/12) 18:23-18:34 PDT Sorry that Saturday didn't work out, but the Tuesday AO-07 pass was added to help reach most of the way across the mainland. Thanks to Frank, K4FEG, for the AO-07 info. Hope to meet on the birds. So far things have been working well. I had a contact with Frank, K4FEG, in Tennessee, Clayton, W5PFG, in Texas, and David, W0DHB, in Colorado, on a late night (Hawaii time) pass of FO-29. Deciphering Phase 3D Telemetry

All: I found a recording I had made of OSCAR-40's beacon on an old hard drive. I decoded the telemetry with AO40 RCV and found that it dates back to November 17, 2000. The status window shows that AO-40 was on it's third orbit at 15:11 UTC. I'd like to know the position of satellite when the recording was made and was wondering where I can find an accurate set of old Keplerian elements? Thanks, Tony -K2MO

Just heard ISS back on 145.825. Two students went outside with a D7 HT and sent themselves email using APRS via ISS. Came back inside and were amazed to see the Email in their inbox already! Now they understand APRS! Bob, Wb4APR
