It's been extensively discussed on Twitter @AMSAT a while back and I can relate from using my FT-1634 setup using the BLP-200, it is a non-issue for SSB and FM at 5W

Dual HTs will be fine. Many rovers are currently using it with no issues with more than 5W power. Obviously not recommended for high power use!!!

I forgot to mention it in this post that you need to use a filter on a 2 radio setup to prevent desensitization.

Mini-circuits BLP-200 and MFJ-916B are 2 that I have used, and I know there are other options.
