I am sure I am not the only one that gave you the same advice, use the A side VFO to RX and the B VFO to TX. Unfortunately you cannot program cross band odd splits on the TH-D72, but it only adds one extra memory per sat. The downside is, is that you have to switch between VFO's to change the RX freq to adjust for doppler and switch the the other VFO to TX again, it can be simplified somewhat with the use of the SMC-33 speaker/mic with programmable buttons. It is a very nice HT to have
