Hello. Currently I use a TYT TH9800 for FM satellites, this base radio has the characteristic of being full dulpex, so it is very helpful to be able to listen to your return signal and realize that you have activated the satellite and do not interfere with other operators .
For satellites in SSB mode, I'm new to them and learning, but I'm using a FT817 to transmit and to listen I use a generic SDR receiver, the kind you get in online stores nowadays.
In both situations I have a homemade arrow type antenna that I have made, here is the link with the plans and some details https://www.instructables.com/Antena-Para-Sat%C3%A9lites-LEO-Radioaficionado...

I want to get back on the satellites using an HT. What are some options for handheld/HT radios? I have an Yaesu Ft5dr but I read its not full duplex. It seems like the Kenwood D74 has been discontinued as HRO and DX Engineering both dont have the radio in stock. I live in an HOA neighborhood so an antenna array is not an option.
Thanks and 73
