Mike,
The 0.5w while is on the spec sheet for the BLP.... many of us use it and use way more than 0.5w.

As someone who has an IC-9700, I do not suffer desene with mode J (and don't use the BLP on my setup). I'm betting those who do have J-Mode issuses have 1 of 2 problems 1) higher SWR or 2) running to much power.
As I stated in a previous e-mail: I have to say I'm not getting desense with my IC-9700, unless I'm using more power than is needed or should be using on the SSB Sats.
Maybe try to lower your power? RS-44 can easily be worked at around 2% (2w) power and I work SO-50 at 0-3% every time (500mw-3w)

Just to mention on the BLP-200+, you can't transmit through it as it has a 0.5 watt maximum RF power. It is designed for a receive-only lines.

I have used a MFJ-916B in my portable setup and it was the biggest improvement I have made to my setup. I have since moved to a
Mini-Circuits
BLP-200+ as I use 2 radios verse a single full duplex radio.

I am still having problems with the 9700 on Mode J. Has anyone yet

the MFJ-916BMN duplexer on their system? I like the fact that it is designed for outdoor use and can be mounted to the mast. I have a
