application for
the iPhone that spits out position reports to the APRS
internet
gateways? It would make a phone self-tracking.
Yes, and make it part of the new "Universal Amateur Radio Messaging" Initiative. We hope that someone will make applications for all wireless gizmos used by Hams to be able to link into the APRS system. See: www.aprs.org/aprs-messaging.html

the iPhone for Sat
Tracking?
I'm building one. I'll be ready for a few alpha testers
before much longer, I hope.
So far the only ham radio applications I've seen for the
iPhone are a callbook lookup and a grid square converter, plus perhaps a few Morse code programs.
