I did not listen to the AO-51 pass you mention, but I would guess it was very crowded as is common. I will not comment on a guess but I will say that early morning passes are generally less crowded and "laid back". If you are up for the VERY early morning passes of SO-50...come join me, I'm often by myself.

Today's 3:30 EDT AO-51 pass was the first pass I have tried to work on a LEO in a long time (years). Blew the dust off the FT-530 and Arrow and sat out in the parking lot at work.
Was that pretty typical (i.e. quantity of stations) now for a mid-afternoon, weekday pass over the US? What about the very early morning passes?
