Guys,
The ICOM IC-703+ is NOT discontinued. ICOM has featured advertising in the last QST for the rig, HRO has them IN STOCK. The rig is still on ICOM USA and JP web sites. The IC-765PRO3 IS discontinued and when current stocks are gone, there will be no more. If you want a real answer to the question of a product being discontinued PLEASE CALL THE MFG AND DON'T TRUST THE RUMOR MILL ON THE REFLECTORS! It is the only way to know from the horse's mouth what an mfg is doing.
If I seem a bit bent about the rumor of the 703+ demise it's because this subject has been beaten to death on other reflectors without anyone checking the rumor out. It is NOT true.
To paraphrase a statement from Mark Twain, "Rumors of its death have been greatly exaggerated!" ;>)

My serious guess is that ICOM will bring out a IC-910H replacement, if you look at their recent offerings then there's really only the IC-910H which could be upgraded. The IC-703 has been discontinued, so unless there's a new
QRP rig in the works then I hope there will be a new VHF/UHF/SHF radio.
Kenwood - very unlikely, their next two major radios will be HF+6m.
Yaesu - who knows? Would be good though.

Is anyone hearing any rumors of new satellite rigs on the horizon (pun intended)? The TS2000 and Icom 910H are hitting 9 years on the market, and
Yaesu isn't currently marketing a satellite rig.
