Hello All,

I think I made a big damage.

I own a Yaesu G-5500 Azimuth/Elevation Rotators.

Behind the control box I put a rectangular male and female socket on both azimuth and elevation so I can disconnect

the control box when I have to intervene in the shack.

Today I had to intervene in the shack so I had to disconnect the control box. At the end of the operation I reconnected

the control box, but while I was about to work a satellite, I noticed that the elevation side had stopped at around 15 degrees

while the satellite was at 60 degrees. I checked the connections and noticed that I absentmindedly put the elevation side connectors backwards,

that is, instead of having:

I have replaced the Elevation connectors to the correct position but now I am noticing that

When I press the UP button on the control box, the Motor does not move but after about

1 second I see the Elevation needle in the control box meter that from 0 degrees, hits full scale beyond 180 degrees.

Staying in this position if I press the DOWN button on the control box, the Motor does not move but after about

1 second I see the Elevation needle in the control box meter that from 180 degrees going back to 0 degrees.

Please anybody can tell me if the problem belongs from the motor or from the control box and how to solve it?

Any help will be really appreciated.
