I ran across this person's Tape Measure antenna design.
It uses 3D printed parts to hold the elements and aluminum
extrusion for the boom.

I think it has a lot of potential for experimentation. The element spacing is adjustable.
Perhaps the mounting brackets could be reworked to take arrow shafts. Maybe it could be reworked into an Elk antenna design or combo Yagi-Elk. The boom could have holes
added to lighten it up a bit.
