Hi,
I have two more S-band gear for sale. Pictures are available at the URL under each item. Contact me directly (not via the BB) at k0kn at amsat dot org.
* California Amplifier brand, model # 130003, consists of a downconverter and integrated linear patch antenna. Can be mounted for either vertical or horizontal polarization. Includes screw-on set of disc director elements. 144 MHz IF (2400 MHz = 143.55 MHz). $45 + s&h http://www.qsl.net/k0kn/130003.jpg
* Same as above, but with 122 MHz IF instead (2400 MHz = 122.019 MHz) $35 + s&h http://www.qsl.net/k0kn/130003.jpg
These converters are capable of hearing AO-51, and can even be used as a makeshift dish feed. I worked AO-40 this way for a time! These should attach fairly easily to an Arrow type antenna for mode V/s on AO-51.
I also have two Cal Amp 31732 "dead ducks" that did work at one point in the AO-40 days, but have since stopped working. Can be used for parts, a signal source, or worst case, a weatherproof enclosure with one N female connector, and two F female connectors. Paint peeling on one lid. $5 each http://www.qsl.net/k0kn/31732.jpg
I had planned to follow the lead of GM1SXX, but have not yet found time to convert these ducks. See his article: "Project Duckling - or - Uses for Dead Drakes," The AMSAT Journal, May/Jun 2001, pp. 8-9.
