I'd like to know if anyone on the list has a successful configuration for SatPC32 & the Kenwood TS-790. The issue I'm seeing is that whenever the 2m band is used at or above 145.800, the radio automatically sets itself to Auto LSB, regardless of whether or not it was in Auto mode selection to start with. I'm aware that Auto mode selection is a built-in operating convenience, but it's not convenient if the radio or the software changes that mode setting. If I try to use a 2m frequency on FM at or above 145.800, the rig goes to Auto LSB. After it does this, I can manually set it back to FM or USB or LSB without the Auto feature, but upon the next Doppler update from SatPC32 it goes back to Auto LSB....every single time. I've tried varying the CAT delay in SatPC32; no help. I've been in contact with Erich and he's been very patient and helpful, but the issue remains. Erich said there's no command from SatPC32 to enable the Auto mode select, and I believe him. That fact is supported by the external control manual which lists all the available commands for the rig under computer control...Auto mode selection isn't not listed in the commands.
