I have seen limits and "demands" in groups like this cause splintering of the group. The result is a splitting of the people and knowledge. Folks in the middle tend to then have to join multiple groups in order to still have access to ALL of the knowledge. Sounds like a split in the local ham club(s).
I agree politics doesn't belong generally in ham radio and many Hams are not interested in politics of the USA.
However, I do know how to filter my emails and use the delete key. This seems the best route to me in order to accommodate everyone.
