[AMSAT-BB] FT818 and M2 Eggbeaters

I’ve been using my dual Yaesu FT818 setup and Arrow antenna with great success on the FM and linear satellites. As the temperature in the northeast US begins to plummet I have put some thought into how to operate for the winter.

I have purchased an M2 Sat Pack Eggbeater antenna and I am wondering if anyone has had success using a 6 watt FT818 with it? Again, I have no problem with 6 watts and an Arrow antenna, but curious what the results might be with the eggbeaters.

I know some don’t care for the Eggbeater style antenna but I have talked to many who have had great success, just not sure if I can duplicate that with 6 watts.
