I've run my rotor system from an inverter (it was a 1kw model, so not super small), and from its perspective all was fine.  But if your inverter is one of the "modified" sine wave models it (the inverter) will pretty much wipe out the entire HF spectrum with local noise.  Even some pure sine wave models can be a bit noisy.  I'm currently running much of the Shack's 120v equipment (the PC monitors and Internet, mostly) from a 500VA Victron pure sine wave inverter, and it's pretty quiet on RF.

Can you run an AC rotor on an small inverter?  Maybe a true sine inverter.
Or would the inverter be too electrically noisy?
I also wonder if a brushed DC motor would be noisy too. Right up there with the antennas.
Maybe they use a brushless or stepper motor. ???

Would explain why the product photo looked exactly the same

The price for the basic system prior to its discontinuation was $799, although I don’t know an apples to apples comparison based on what is included with this package.
