Is the TNC on? Is the squelch closed? By default Data Carrier Detect (DCD) is enabled and that won't let you send packets if the squelch is open.

I should add that the internal GPS is turned on, and I've left the rig outside with a clear path to the sky for several minutes to get a GPS lock. Hasn't made any difference to BCON showing up on the display

Had some glitches with my 72A, so I did a hard reset on the unit.

Now, when pressing the BCON button on the keypad, BCON does not appear on the display screen.

I've gone through the set-upĀ  for adding callsign, date/time, etc, but still no luck in enabling the BCON icon. (Unit receives APRS just fine.)

Am I overlooking something simple?

Thank you
