If the uplink is on 23cm which I believe it is then I'm not quite sure why an M3 is using it.
According to the license T&Cs (as currently on the OFCOM site) M3s are not permitted on 23cm.
10GHz yes but nothing between 70cm and 10GHz.
Or did I miss something?

Just heard M3IOP calling, practically from horizon to horizon with AO-51 reaching a maximum elevation of 12 degrees! Sadly I don't have any 23cm equipment to shout back. No other stations heard, either.
It's so nice and quiet up here away from all the SCADA clatter.
