Hi Tim

All Icom radios have a unique 'address' called the CI-V address and it is a Hex value (numbers/letters from 0 to F).

What you can do is pick an Icom radio in SatPC32 there is there and then look up its Hex address.  You can see some of them here:  http://www.plicht.de/ekki/civ/civ-p31.html

Once you find the radio in SatPC32 that you want to use take its Hex address and go into your IC-705 and change it to that value.

Once the IC-705 has the older Hex address it will start to respond SatPC32 commands.

Currently SatPC32 does not list the Icom IC-705 as a supported radio. I emailed Erich and he said the Icom commands are pretty much the same and to try some of the other rigs that are listed.

It is my goal to work AO7 in mode A with the 10 meter downlink. Plus I'm looking for an excuse to purchase a 705.

An additional question, do 10 meter hamsticks as a dipole work for an antenna for the 10 meter downlink work?

I'm slowly getting there....
