First, I'm glad there are people that still "tinker" with the programs. The "NOVA" program that is offered by AMSAT already makes announcements and I use this when I am waiting around the shack for a pass. You'll be surprised at the way time advances when your not watching a clock!! Only problem is that NOVA's list of satellite announcements isn't up to date but you can record your own announcements EX- "Oscar 51 is rising" etc. on your computer, save them, and add them to the data base for the sounds in the NOVA program as I have. You can figure this out quickly by reading the file and seeing what procedures to follow to duplicate an announcement. Good luck. 73, Dee, NB2F NJ AMSAT Coordinator

I have made, mainly for my own use, a small program that communicates via DDE with the excellent DK1TB's SatPC32 satellite tracking program and gives a voice warning when a satellite rises above the horizon.
